1) What if I already have a website, how can the eStore Premium Service plug into my existing site?

The service can plug into an existing website seamlessly, we can setup the store on a sub-folder or sub-domain of your existing website, i.e store.yourbusiness.com or www.yourbusiness.com/store . Best of all, we provide an integrated web hosting and e-mail service, so you benefit from both web-hosting and integrated shopping cart services all for one low price. We have a fast and easy transfer process that can get your store up and running within days.

2) I do not have a merchant account, how can I process online payments?

Businesses who do not already have a merchant account can apply for an account through our payment processing partner Optimal Payments.Inc. They offer full-service internet merchant accounts for $35 / mo with low transaction processing fees (ask us about a special rate only available to Canfone.com eStore Premium members). For U.S. based customers we have another partner through First Data Inc. which has even more competitive rates. We also support PayPal Business accounts using the IPN (Instant Payment Notification) system which provides real-time authentication and processing of credit-cards with no fixed monthly costs.

3) What types of services do you offer to help market and promote my store once I am up and running ?

Beginning, January, 2005 our Small Business Platinum and Entreprise members will receive a marketing package with articles and links to get them started on the online marketing process. We also provide 1 hour of free consulting per year to help plot your online marketing strategy. Canfone.com eStore members are also elegible to have their site listed on our subsidary company's online store directory - www.listbay.ca and our own customer spotlight on Canfone.com.

4) What types of real-time shipping quotes can my eStore quote ?

Your eStore is capable of quoting all major carriers including UPS, Canada Post, USPS, FedEX. Just let us know what your needs are and we will custom install the appropriate modules for you.

5)  How is sales tax handled ?

Our eStore service has the capability to charge taxes based on customer destination – so if a U.S. based customer purchases from a Canadian store, they don't need to pay GST or PST. If a U.S. based customer purchases from a U.S. store that is out of state, they won't be charged tax. With in-state purchases, a state tax applies in most cases – we will set this rate up according to your specifications.

6) How can I upload my inventory to the website

Canfone.com's eStore Premium service includes an easy to use Store Owner Control panel with a WYSIWYG editor that allows you to enter inventory 24/7 using a web-based interface. You simply select the category you would like the product to be entered into, and then click on ‘New Product' within the Catalog section of the Store Owner Control panel.

7) How do I upload pictures of my items ?

The Store Owner Control panel has a built in picture upload utility. The product editor may also be used to upload additional images. Check out our Product Tour to learn more.

8) Can I setup coupons to give a discount ?

Yes, as of January, 2005, Small Business Platinum and Entreprise Gold accounts support online coupons. You can create percentage based discounts (i.e 10% off) or dollar based coupons (i.ie $5 off) or free shipping coupons. You can even setup the coupons so that the customer must buy a certain dollar amount before it can be used.

9) How is payment processing handled ?

We operate a secure SSL (secure socket layer) server to support the encrypted transfer of sensitive information such as credit-card details using our shared SSL certificate for Small Business Gold and Platinum plans. Entreprise customers receive their own SSL certificate ( https://yourcompany.com ) and ChoicePoint business identifier. Gold and Platinum customers are elegible to upgrade to their own SSL certificate at a cost of $55 / year.

Credit-card transactions can either be processed in real-time through a compatible gateway such as Authorize.net, Firepay, PsiGate, First Data compatible APIs, among many others. Or can be securely stored for later processing using your merchant terminal. You also have the option of accepting cheque/money orders and PayPal.

10. How long does it take to setup ?

It takes approximately 3 to 5 business days from start to finish.

11). Is the service search engine friendly ?

Yes, pages are generated in such a way that search engines think the content is static so that it will spider your entire store.
